I am a Research Fellow in the Centre for Systems Modelling and Quantitative Biomedicine at the University of Birmingham.

As a mathematical biologist, I use mathematical models to explain and predict the behaviour of biological and physiological systems, with a particular emphasis on modelling the healthy and the diseased retina. In addition to performing my own experiments, my work is conducted in close collaboration with experimental biologists, biomedical scientists and clinicians.

Two exciting announcements:

  1. I am Guest Editing an IOVS Special Issue on Mathematical and Computational Ophthalmology. We welcome submissions of original research applying quantitative methods to examine any aspect of visual system structure or function. Submission deadline 1 December 2023. All submissions will be peer reviewed, and publication fees will apply to papers that are accepted. See here for details.
  2. See our new seminar series in Mathematical and Computational Ophthalmology!
